Every girl has the power inside her to be independent

All students at Merici in Years 7 to 10 are in the Middle Years Programme (MYP). The MYP is a framework that we use to deliver the Australian Curriculum. The MYP aims to develop confidence in learners to manage their own learning and pursue lives of purpose and meaning.

It empowers students to inquire into a wide range of issues and ideas of significance locally, nationally and globally to develop lifelong learners.

In Year 10, students decide if they want to take the IB Diploma Programme as a pathway in Years 11 and 12 at Merici. The DP is a rigorous academic programme that fosters a desire to learn and encourages breadth and depth of knowledge. The Diploma Programme curriculum is made up of six subject groups and the DP core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS) and the extended essay.
